This Week @ BCSC

This beautiful weather has certainly brought the sailors out and lucky for us that the last few sessions have had some really nice wind. This last week has been busy. We have been able to finish quite a few juniors on their RYA Stage 1 and 2, so many congratulations to them. More details on this soon.

Yesterday was our Babbacombe Bash. In the afternoon we had junior training from 1-3pm and also social sailing with tasters from 3-5pm. The wind filled in nicely with many out enjoying the perfect sailing conditions! In the evening we had our Beach BBQ which capped off a wonderful day.

A big thank you to all our volunteers, especially Stuart and Sue with their team, for organising such a lovely BBQ. I think “Chef Phil” did a wonderful job. (Everyone OK this morning?) Also to Guy and the safety boat team for all the junior coaching going on at the moment.

This Week – Bottom Clubhouse.

Tuesday 17th July 5.30pm – Club Sailing with sailing suppers afterwards in the top clubhouse.
Friday 20th July 5.30pm – Junior Night & Adult Social Sailing
Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd July all day – Babbacombe Regatta – Open to all our qualified sailors including novices, new sailors and juniors. Click the link for more info…

Tuesday 17th July – Sailing Supper – Clubhouse open normal time but suppers available after club racing.
Wednesday 18th July – 8pm – Music & Film Night – Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds.
Thursday 19th July– 8.30pm – Quiz Night – Come and test your knowledge in our fun weekly quiz.
Friday 20th July – 8.30pm – 10.00pm we have our weekly members draw. You have to be there to win it, so please come up and see if you are a winner.
Saturday 21st July – 7.30pm – Commodores Reception.
