What’s On This Week At BCSC

This week at BCSC..

Tuesday 31st January at 8pm we start our weekly training talks. This week our Commodore, Dave Homer,  will give practical advice and tips on being a Race Officer. The talk is centred around “What Do I Do If..” and is ideal for all our safety boaters and beach volunteers. Our sailors would also benefit as Dave will cover some tactical information.    We really hope these sessions are well supported and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. 

Key points being covered..

• Course Setting practice;
• How to cope with wind direction changes;
• Tidal influence on course setting;
• Is the position of the Gybe Mark important?
• Is the start line biased?;

Wednesday 1st February we have our members movie evening. This week we are showing Star Trek Into Darkness staring Benedict Cumberbatch.  So all you trekkie fans out there please come up and watch on our big screen. 

Thursday 2nd February at 8.30pm is our weekly quiz.

Friday 3rd February between 9-10pm we have our weekly members draw.

Saturday 4th February we are showing RBS Six Nations rugby live on the big screen. In the afternoon at 2.25pm we have Scotland V Ireland and then at 4.50pm we have England V France. We will try and show all six nations matches live at BCSC so please check every week for times.
