What’s Happening This Week @ BCSC

Plenty happening on and off the water this week.

This Week – Bottom Clubhouse.

• Saturday 28th April, 9.30 onwards – RYA Level 1 & 2 course 
• Sunday 29th April  9.30am – Club Sailing – Spring Improver Series

Racing is never too serious at Babbacombe, so anyone whatever level can go out and sail. If you don’t want to race and just want a leisurely sail around the course then this is welcome.

This Week – Top Clubhouse.

• Tuesday 24th April at 8.00pm – Tuesday Training Talks –  Thank you to BCSC member and British Antarctic Survey Captain Graham Chapman for this weeks talk.

Join Graham as he dedicates his presentation to another club member Captain Malcolm Phelps who also worked for the British Antarctic Survey. Malcolm sadly passed away last year.  Graham worked with Malcolm aboard the ‘John Biscoe’ nearly 30 years ago before it was decommissioned and would like to share some of his experiences working aboard with Malcolm and also his early years with the BAS.

• Wednesday 25th April at 8.00pm – Over 50’s Singles Night – Torbay Community Development Trust are hosting an Over 50’s Singles Evening at BCSC. Open to all the community, not just members.
• Thursday 26th April at 8.30pm – Quiz Night. Come along and test your knowledge in our weekly quiz.
• Friday 27th April between 8.30pm – 10.00pm we have our weekly members draw. You have to be there to win it, so please come up and see if you are a winner.
• Saturday 28th April from 7.30pm – BCSC At Home –  All members welcome. Come up and meet likeminded people from local sailing clubs in the area. Help support this event by bringing a plate of food for the buffet.
