AGM – 15th October

Our AGM will be on Sunday October 15th at 2pm in the Fore Street Clubhouse and we will be able to report in more detail on the progress that has been made this year. The club seems to be going from strength to strength and much appreciation has to go to our core of volunteers who put such effort and dedication into our sailing club. 

We are now looking now forward to 2018 and ask members that maybe interested in taking up more responsibility to put your name forward.  Many of the present Committee need to step back and let others take over for next year and it looks as though, of the fifteen of us, only 5 or so will be continuing.   Our duty as a Committee is to serve you, the membership, but also you all have a responsibility in supporting the club by coming forward to serve on the committee, in smaller shared and/or modified roles if necessary, but we must have more new Committee members if we have any chance of continuing to progress..

On or before Sunday 24th September you will receive the official AGM notice requesting Committee nominations.  From 1st October the proposed new constitution and club plans will be on display and I sincerely hope that we have sufficient nominations to continue managing this wonderful club next year.
