A brisk south-southeasterly gave our sailors an exciting ride…

A handful of sailors  grabbed the opportunity to get out on the water in Saturday’s short window of fine weather between the storms.

A brisk south-southeasterly gave the sailors an exciting ride on the bay off Oddicombe Beach.

Vice-Commodore Neil Mander laid on five back-toback one-lap races.

Some early-season engine problems created an extra level of excitement for the safety-boat crews.

The pictures show Chris Stevens and Darryl Brown in lasers, and Guy Hester with crew Sally Kingdon in Guy’s Taser.
