Race results – Sunday 09/04/2017

Last Sunday was the first race in our early season series. Unfortunately the wind was very light and kept maybe a few of our more regular sailors away, however we had three boats out on the water all contesting in this first race.

Besides the light wind, the weather conditions were perfect. Flat calm, warm, sunny and great visibility. The bay was certainly looking at it’s best and was ideal for a nice sail.

Overall results

• 1st James Williams (Helm) / no crew (Tasar)
• 2nd Finlay Cooper (Helm) / Guy Hester (Crew) – Tasar
• 3rd John Mitchell (Helm) – Laser 4.7 (winner in best mixed handicap)

Special mention must go out to Finlay who has not been out on the water for some time.  She sailed really well helming Guys Tasar: – well done!

Next Sunday is our first trophy race of the season,  so please come on down and get out on the water. Also, this Saturday afternoon we have our improver sessions starting at 1.30. Please let Guy know if you will be coming down for this.
