What a perfect weekend we had to welcome the Westerleys to Babbacombe. With clear skies and a warm summer breeze, our members had the ideal opportunity to climb aboard and enjoy the afternoon out in the bay.
Life on board was very stressful. No scrubbing of the decks or manning the sails. Tales of cream teas and glasses of wine started to filter there way back to the shore as jealous onlookers watched impressed by these beautiful boats.
It was not all about the cruisers, as we also ran afternoon dinghy taster sessions for any new budding sailor. With the weather being so ideal, most of our trainees were able to get to the helm and have a real taste of sailing.
Early evening, with everyone back onshore, we cranked the BBQ into gear and toasted a great day while enjoying the wonderful food prepared by our much appreciated volunteers.
