We need your help – Get ready for Aviva Community Fund 2017

Great news, our project has been accepted but we now need your help!

Every year thousands of community projects get entered into the Aviva Community Fund all pitching for grants. These grants range from £1000 to £25000 and are designed to offer local causes, like ourselves, some financial assistance towards their project. We are delighted that this year our application has been accepted, however there is quite a bit of work ahead if we are going to secure a grant.

Our project…

One of our many goals at Babbacombe is to offer affordable sailing to our community, by getting people of all ages out on the water so they can experience the many benefits sailing has to offer. We have been doing this successfully since 1935, however for us to provide this well into the future, we need to urgently update and improve our training boats. Our Laser 2000’s are needing much work and investment. Our application to Aviva for a £5000-£10000 grant will put us in a position to replace and upgrade these boats.

How can you help…

It’s simple, we need votes and lots of them. On the 24th October we will send you a unique link where you can go on to the Aviva Community Website to register and vote. The process is very quick and you are not asked to sign up for anything. This is all about Aviva giving back to the community and not a sales drive.

We will be posting reminders on Facebook and by email, but please help by sharing, liking, telling family and friends to vote. We only have until the 21st November.

Last year our friends from Cary Park Tennis Club got behind this event and was successful in securing funds. Hopefully we can follow in their footsteps by voting and spreading the word!

REMEMBER TO LOOK OUT FOR YOUR EMAIL ON THE 24TH!

What Aviva Say…

“We believe good projects come in all shapes and sizes. So the best way to support a variety of good causes is to let both large and small projects share the funding.

The Aviva Community Fund will finance over 500 projects across four different fund levels and four categories, giving our awards to communities throughout the UK.

If your project gets enough votes and wows our judges, it will be in with a chance of receiving those much-needed funds.”
